As Senior Director of one of BGMP’s newest teams, Yiqing leads special projects at The Boston Globe‘s parent company, working with teams across the organization (newsrooms and business units) to shepherd big ideas to reality and encourage a culture of innovation, testing, and experimentation. Yiqing was previously the Senior Digital Editor and Homepage Editor at the Globe, overseeing the 24/7 team running BostonGlobe.com, social media, emails, and breaking news alerts, with a focus on digital strategy, design, and workflows and processes. Before that, she was the Digital Editor and Arts & Entertainment editor at Boston magazine, and has also worked in education, book publishing, and web design. Yiqing’s passions range from art and technology to properly nested HTML tags, and alternative story formats. She’s a recovering workaholic and perfectionist who relapses once in a while (ask her about it!).
