Taylor Shaw is passionate about storytelling, social media strategy, creating online communities and mentoring.
At the University of Virginia, she is responsible for social listening, content creation and consulting other departments on social media. She also manages the company’s employee advocacy program.
Taylor is an adjunct instructor at Shaw University. She teaches the college’s first social media management course along with other mass communication classes.
Previously, Taylor was an audience growth producer at the News & Observer, digital executive producer at KSHB-TV and digital content producer at WATE-TV. She began her career at The Triangle Tribune, a community newspaper in her hometown of Durham, North Carolina.
Taylor holds a B.A. in mass communication from William Peace University and an M.A. in broadcast journalism from the American University School of Communication.
