Sarah Diamond has worked in journalism for nearly a decade at NPR, PBS and as a freelancer for HBO and Showtime productions. Her writing has also appeared in The Washington Post. Before joining The Times in 2021, she worked as an associate producer for National Geographic Studios in Washington. A film she worked on there, “Going Viral: Beyond the Hot Zone,” won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Science and Technology Documentary in 2020. She has a bachelor’s in business with a minor in international relations from American University and a master’s in journalism from Columbia Journalism School.
She was born in New Delhi and raised in a small town north of San Francisco called Sebastopol. She now splits her time between Brooklyn, NY and Princeton, NJ.
