Kira Hoffelmeyer is the executive producer for the afternoon news at KSL Newsradio in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah.

But if you asked her what she does for a living, she’d tell you she’s a chaos coordinator.

Kira manages anchors, hosts, breaking news, reporters, board operators, people who call the station, traffic reporters, digital producers, other radio producers, interns… and there’s probably someone she’s forgetting—but you get her point.

Kira is pulled in a hundred different directions every minute. She makes tough decisions in milliseconds. She breaks news the second she knows it. She manages a team that’s not even all in the building, let alone the same room, with interns in the mix.

Kira is the youngest executive producer at my company. Her spirit, drive and work ethic have earned her the reputation of “pint-sized firecracker” among her peers.
