Find Your Mentor

Jenny Lawton is a producer, editor, sound designer, and show-runner. She’s currently a Senior Editor at WNYC Studios, where she’s worked on “Nancy,” “Scattered,” “Radiolab Presents: More Perfect,” “The Anthropocene Reviewed,” “A Piece of Work,” and more. She previously served as the Executive Producer of “Studio 360.” Before joining WNYC, Jenny covered politics, technology, and the arts at WBEZ/Chicago Public Radio. Her work has been honored by the AP, RTNDA, Third Coast Audio Festival, and Webbies, among others; she was also awarded two fellowships by USC-Annenberg/NEA and is a proud member of the 2016 Poynter-ONA digital women leaders cohort. Jenny thinks about leading teams and productions as solving multidimensional puzzles. She considers podcast-making (and journalism, generally) a team sport — her favorite role is player-coach.
