Jacque Smith leads CNN’s global Digital Video production team. As executive producer, she oversees domestic & international breaking news, sponsorships and features content, and encourages in-depth storytelling around political, social and economic issues. The digital video team is also responsible for CNN’s vertical video efforts on and off-platform (TikTok and YouTube), and produces CNN 10, a daily student news show. Jacque started her career at CNN as an associate producer with the features team, building interactives. After a year she moved to the entertainment team where she spent many glorious months creating photo galleries of pretty people. For a hot second in 2011 she was a tech writer, which she failed miserably at because she and technology share a mutual dislike. Before joining the digital video team in 2015, she was a writer and producer for CNN Health, where she led the digital team’s coverage through the Ebola crisis. She loves to talk about leadership challenges and navigating the ever-changing digital media landscape.
