Ellie is the executive director of editorial operations of lifestyle at Vox Media, where she oversees operations for the company’s lifestyle sites: Eater, Thrillist, Punch, and PS. In this role, she oversees the audience development teams of each brand, as well as a central operations team that supports the day-to-day functioning of the brands, from budgets to editorial tools to product support. She is also accountable for the growth of each brand and serves as a strategic partner to the editors-in-chief. She got her start as a fashion intern, fulfilling her “Devil Wears Prada” tour of duty at Seventeen, Harper’s Bazaar, and Women’s Wear Daily. After graduating Barnard College, she was hired as an associate style editor at HuffPost, ultimately leading the team as senior editor, followed by a cross-newsroom role overseeing a team of ”viral writers” and working on mobile strategy and analytics. She joined Mic on the analytics team, eventually launching the site’s Connections and Style sections as Mic’s first lifestyle editor, before leaving to join Vox Media as the managing editor of Racked in 2016. She joined Eater in 2018 and stepped in to oversee Vox Media’s broader lifestyle pod in 2022.
