Alex Newman is an interactive journalist specializing in data visualization, multimedia and user experience.
She is currently a visual editor at the Wall Street Journal, focused on international graphics.
Most recently, she’s worked as the digital executive editor for public radio show The World. She’s previously worked at Al Jazeera America, the Pew Charitable Trusts, Home Front Communications, USA TODAY and the Reno-Gazette Journal. She has also taught journalism whenever time permits.
She grew up in Reno, Nevada (Ne-VAH-DUH, not Nuh-VA-DAH) and shares her apartment with a pet tortoise, Capt. Ahab.
