Growth Editor, The Business of Fashion
Sarah Schijen is The Business of Fashion’s first ever Growth Editor, a role that builds on her experience developing editorial content for new or underserved audiences at news organisations big and small. Prior to joining BoF, Sarah was Vogue’s Snapchat Editor, working with teams in London, Paris, Madrid and Mexico City.
She works to identify new opportunities for media titles to engage with (primarily) female-focused, Gen-Z audiences, developing alternative editorial and production methodologies to encourage new ways of working across multiple digital teams. She is a firm believer in the power of a zig-zag career path, having navigated a variety of roles at The Wall Street Journal in Hong Kong and BBC News in London.
Sarah has a PhD in Literature and Visual Cultures and is a proud member of ONA’s Women’s Leadership Accelerator cohort for 2019.
